Controls
• SQL Knob – This knob turns against on and the melody to silence up or down to set the signal strength for reception.
• Switch range - This should be switched to 1 GHz at frequencies between 30 MHz and 0.8 GHz and switched to 2.8 GHz for frequencies of 500 MHz and 2.8 GHz.
• Hold Button - This applies the current display and stops the counter from counting.
• Calibration - Calibration adjustment opening is located on the front panel of the counter. This allows access to the lawn capacitor, which provides around 10 range of ppm adjustments to the time base oscillator. This is not usually necessary, but to read the signal about a known frequency, such as adjusting the lawns for the correct display frequency. If you calibrate to 4.1943 MHz or higher, then the counter will be more accurate.
